The leaders you elect make decisions that affect your daily life. Elections are a chance to stand up for what matters most, and to have an impact on the issues that affect you, your community, your families, and your future.
Candidate forums provide a way to educate voters about potential leaders. As a public service, the League sponsors nonpartisan candidate forums to inform and motivate voters. These political events are regulated by federal and state election laws and regulations, and guided by League policies. There are a variety of formats such as live in-person, on Zoom or Facebook, or videotaped. To dispel any conflict-of-interest concerns, candidate forums are moderated by trained League members from outside the voting district. Questions for the candidates are requested from the public.
Taped candidate forums can be found on
our League's YouTube channel and in the
Video tab of this website.
